The Love That Lasts

We sometimes tend to think that for a relationship to be considered successful, it needs to last a long time, drawn out far past conflicts and misunderstandings, off towards some imaginary finishing line, where we can dust our hands off and claim, “we’ve tried.”

But not all long-term relationships are good. And not all short-term love affairs are failures. Some relationships last a lifetime, others only need to last one night. And it is what we take away from them that should be measured – not in terms of time but in terms of growth.
