Mexican Radio: Queer Fiesta Erase Una Ves en SoMa

Que lastima que Mexican Radio, a Latino-infused queer party in SoMa, is no longer around. At least I managed to snatch the cool party fliers online before the party went bust. They were designed by the inimitable General Monty. The chico modelo is Jorge Cino, a Buenos Aires-born writer whose words have appeared in Chris Stedman’s NonProphet Status. Cino was also a former Latin American editor for GayCities.

Mexican Radio was the brainchild of SF writer extraordinaire Stephen Torres. Read his awesome stories in The Bold Italic, especially the one about the party scene for men of color and the one about the bygone era of handkerchief cruising culture. Yo, Stephen! Let’s get this Mexican Radio back in frequency.
