That One Time I Hung Out with Will.I.Am at the Creators Project

When I first heard that Creators Project, the state-of-the-art music/tech festival showcase, was going to set up shop in San Francisco this past March, I knew I couldn’t miss it. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the Antlers and James Murphy performing in Fort Mason’s giant pavilions, converted from maritime era, not to mention art installations from Chris Milk (the guy behind Arcade Fire videos) and UVA (responsible for designing the Coachella mainstage)?

Rolling Stone was also interested in the event, so they sent me to report back on all the artsy tech fireworks. Little did I know that I would be the only reporter allowed to interview Will.I.Am, Intel’s creative director, who made a last-minute visit to San Francisco to see it for himself.
