On the Wreck of ’86 That Was the Year I knew the Panic Was Over (The Remix)

Ellie Goulding – “Anything Could Happen”

I first heard this new Ellie Goulding jam on Mexican pop radio when vacationing in Cabo two weeks ago. Immediately I was really into it, the song has epic festival season written all over it.

“Anything Could Happen” is the first single off Ellie’s sophomore album, Halcyon. Considering the album doesn’t come out until October 9 and the single is already the official song of Beats By Dre headphones, I expect we’ll be hearing this being commercially licensed all over the place for some time to come.

Denys became obsessed with Ellie’s first smash “Lights” just this summer… two and half years after that album was originally released. For some reason (um, maybe performing at the royal wedding?) Ellie Goulding’s music has quite  the stretchy legs.
